Dr Neil Hudson, MP for Penrith and The Border, visited Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust last week. Sunbeams is run by specially trained community musicians and volunteers to aid children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and complex medical needs, including physical disabilities and mental health problems.
The main centre at Redhills was established four years ago and had many patrons, charities, and fundraising events to aid its development. The centre is available for hire for different rooms for different purposes.
Dr Neil Hudson, MP for Penrith and The Border said
“I was thrilled to be able to visit the Sunbeams site and be shown around by founder Annie Mawson. It is a magnificent site that has unique architecture which enhances the fantastic music therapy Annie offers.
It was great to hear about the people who attend this facility and hear about the positive impact Sunbeams has had on their wellbeing. I would like to express my thanks to Annie and her team for all the hard work they do.”
