The extreme weather at the moment takes its toll. Our rural communities face a range of distinct challenges when it comes to looking after our mental health. Rural isolation, difficulties accessing centralised services and shock events like flooding and animal disease outbreaks can all combine to take a tough toll on people's mental health and I am campaigning hard to improve mental health outcomes for people, no matter what their postcode is.
